Academic and Research Scholarships
Number of scholarships : As announced each year Scholarship Support : Scholarship Duration : Applicant Qualifications : Thai or foreign students (all countries) who are studying at the graduate level (all faculties, all programs, all campuses) must study in an educational plan that requires the preparation of a thesis or dissertation. There shouldn't be more than one scholarship to cover monthly expenses and/or tuition fees. If an applicant works a full-time job and receives a monthly stipend while they are pursuing their studies, they will not be permitted to continue receiving that stipend. to full-time study and research through graduation foreign students must reside and do research by data collection in Thailand only. Terms and Conditions : A report on thesis progress is required every 6 months set by the Graduate School. Without any action, the scholarship will be suspended. An English language proficiency for graduation set by the Graduate School and/or program (PSU-TEP, CU-TEP, TOEFL, IELTS) within 1 semester after the announcement of scholar. Prior to graduation, the scholars are required by the Civil Service Commission in Higher Education Institutions (OCSC) to have the following publications in reputable international peer-reviewed journals indexed by databases: • Field of Science and Technology and Health Sciences: 2 publications for doctoral level, 1 publication for master level (all levels indexed by Web of Science) A report publication and a reprint are required to submit to the termination of the scholarship. A scholar must state in the publication that “Received the PSU-Ph.D. Scholarship in the year XXXX” Method of Consideration: interview applicants by the committee to consider. Procedure : Apply through the online system “Scholarship application system” at https://grad-mis.psu.ac.th/scholarship/ Application Period : November - December Number of scholarships : 35 grants per year Applicant Qualifications : Master's degree (all fields of study, all faculty all campus.) Scholarship Support : 30,000 Baht Scholarship Duration : 10 months Remark: The duration may be less in case of graduation. Terms and Conditions : Must perform work related to academics in the course of study for 30 hours per month onwards, including: not take any leaves of absence from studies for the terms of grant. required to work for the duration of receiving the scholarship in a row. A grant will be terminated if graduation occurs before the deadline. submit a monthly working report by the second of the next month. must have an academic record of at least 3.00. Method of Consideration : Faculty consideration Application Period : October - November Number of scholarships : as announced each year Scholarship Value : Applicant Qualifications : Be a student studying graduate with thesis-based plan. must get the approved thesis proposal (GS2) If receiving other research grants that support money for research will not be eligible to apply for research grants for the thesis. Except that the scholarship has been closed before applying for a research grant for the thesis. Terms and Conditions : The Graduate School will provide funds to awardees through their faculty. must adhere to the Prince of Songkla University Announcement Re: Guidelines on Research Grant for Thesis of Graduate Studies Students must present evidence of grant disbursement to the grantee's faculty within two fiscal years of receiving the award for verification. In the event that no action is taken in accordance with the approved research project, no commitment is made in accordance with the provisions of the agreement, and the research project is terminated, the Graduate School has the right to suspend the grant and revoke full financing. Method of Consideration : The funding decision by the Graduate School is considered final without any appeal. Scholarship Duration : 2 fiscal years starting from the fiscal year received Procedure : Apply through the online system “Scholarship application system” at https://grad-mis.psu.ac.th/scholarship/ Application Period : March Number of scholarships : 10 grants per year Scholarship Value : 50,000 Baht/grant Applicant Qualifications : Be a student studying graduate with thesis-based plan. must get the approved thesis proposal (GS2) If receiving other research grants that support money for research will not be eligible to apply for research grants for the thesis. Except that the scholarship has been closed before applying for a research grant for the thesis. Terms and Conditions : Scholarship recipients will receive funds according to the scholarship value after completing the memorandum of understanding to receive the scholarship. The Graduate School will disburse funds through faculty. Supported expenses on research are subject to 2 payments: must adhere to the Prince of Songkla University Announcement Re: Guidelines on Research Grant for Thesis of Graduate Studies Students, which was issued on July 1, 2021. must submit a certificate of dissemination of completed work to the community before terminating the grant. must present evidence of grant disbursement to the grantee's faculty within two fiscal years of receiving the award for verification. Dissemination of completed work to the community must include the statement “A research work has received the Thesis Research Funding for the Topics on Community Problem Solving from the Graduate School, Prince of Songkla University on grant agreement no. XXXX” Characteristics of research for thesis : Method of Consideration : Scholarship Duration : 2 fiscal years starting from the fiscal year received Procedure : Apply through the online system “Scholarship application system” at https://grad-mis.psu.ac.th/scholarship/ Application Period : February Number of scholarships : 1 grants per year Scholarship Value : 200,000 Baht/grant Applicant Qualifications : Be a student studying graduate with thesis-based plan. must get the approved thesis proposal (GS2) If receiving other research grants that support money for research will not be eligible to apply for research grants for the thesis. Except that the scholarship has been closed before applying for a research grant for the thesis. Terms and Conditions : Scholarship recipients will receive funds according to the scholarship value after completing the memorandum of understanding to receive the scholarship. The Graduate School will disburse funds through faculty. Supported expenses on research are subject to 2 payments: must adhere to the Prince of Songkla University Announcement Re: Guidelines on Research Grant for Thesis of Graduate Studies Students, which was issued on July 1, 2021. must submit a thesis progress report every 6 months (2 rounds per academic year): The first round must be completed by December 15th, and the second round is scheduled for June 15th. A completed thesis consisting of: • Arabic-language abstract A comprehensive research report must be submitted to His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman's funding committees through the Graduate School. Grantees must present evidence of grant disbursement to the grantee's faculty within two fiscal years of receiving the award for verification. 1. PSU-Graduate Studies Scholarship
• Master’s Level: 8,500 Baht/month
• Doctoral Level: 10,000 Baht/month
• 2 academic years
• 3 academic years for Master’s Degree-based
• 4 academic years for Doctoral Degree-based

2. Teaching Assistant Grant
• Assisting with performance assessment at the bachelor’s degree level.
• Assisting in checking practical work and reports at the bachelor’s degree level.
• Working as a teaching assistant or lecturer at the bachelor’s degree level.

4. Thesis Research Funding for the Topics on Community Problem Solving
• 1st payment: 80% of funding upon signing an agreement with the Graduate School
• 2nd payment: 20% of funding after the disseminating completed work to the community by certificate with grantees informing the Graduate School for approval
5. Research Grant for Thesis from the His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalif Fund on Topics Relating to the Kingdom of Bahrain
• 1st payment: 80% of funding upon signing an agreement with the Graduate School.
• 2nd payment: 20% of funding after submitting completed work in accordance with the Graduate School's terms and conditions and graduation requirements.
• The acknowledgement of thesis must be stated “The thesis is supported by Research Grant for Thesis from the His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa Bin Salman Al Khalifa Fund on Topics Relating to the Kingdom of Bahrain according to the grant agreement no. XXXX”

Allocation of each scholarship depends on the annual budget allocated in each academic year and there may be no scholarship application for some year.
